The mission of the St. Augustine Police Department is to enforce laws, provide a safe and secure environment, and respond to the changing needs of the community in order to promote a positive and peaceful quality of life for citizens and visitors within the Nations Oldest City.

Vision Statement

The vision of the St. Augustine Police Department is to demonstrate excellence in professional police service by promoting continued education of officers and citizens, demonstrating the highest ethical and moral standards, and adapting to ever-changing community needs. The organization is guided by leadership philosophy which promotes respect and mutual trust among all members. Ultimately, our vision is to contribute to a community where the police and the public are united in striving for justice and the welfare of all citizens.

In The Know keeps citizens up to date with free community alerts. Alert types include: amber, evacuation, fugitive, hazardous materials, homeland security, school, street closings, and traffic.
