Identification signs installed throughout Old Town will continue to bring recognition to the community’s rich history and significance.
The Old Town Association which is a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation has been in existence for more than four years. Its mission is to “foster an awareness of and appreciation for the original 1572 Old Town of St. Augustine.”
Its self defined boundary is King St. south to Bridge St. and Cordova St., east to the Bayfront.
In 2007, the association applied for and received a grant from the City of St. Augustine. The grant included the replacement of all street signs within their boundary to a design that is distinctive for the City of St. Augustine. The design incorporates the standard brown background used for historic landmark signage and can be produced in-house by the Public Works Department.
The signs have been placed on Lincolnville streets under a previous year’s grant.

Neighborhood Council Meeting Schedule
St. Augustine's neighborhood council program is an initiative inaugurated by the City Commission in the spring of 2003 whereby various neighborhood associations are represented on a central council, the Neighborhood Council.
The Neighborhood Council of St. Augustine, Inc. and the various neighborhood associations are all independent organizations that receive no official sanctioning or oversight from the city, but in an effort to assist and facilitate the work of the Council, the Commission authorized the creation of the position of a neighborhood council coordinator. In addition to working with the Council and associations, the coordinator is also the first stop for a wide range of constituency service functions. The neighborhood council coordinator is Cathy DuPont and she may be reached by phone at 904.825.1053 or by email at: cdupont@ci.st-augustine.fl.us.
The Neighborhood Council Office, or NCO, is located on the first floor of City Hall (75 King Street), and is most easily reached from the Granada Street side of City Hall directly across from the Flagler College auditorium. The office is open between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
