Any business located within the City of St. Augustine is required to have a business tax receipt.
The first step to securing a business tax receipt is to obtain a use permit from the Planning and Building Department (City Hall, 75 King St., fourth floor, lobby "B").
The application process for a use permit takes approximately three to five days. Upon completion, applicants will be contacted by the Department of Finance, Budget and Management to pick up the receipt at the Financial Services Center, 50 Bridge St.
