Code Enforcement and Building Inspection
The Planning and Building Department is responsible for the enforcement of the city code as it relates to the development of land and the State of Florida regulations relating to the health, safety and welfare of residents and visitors of St. Augustine.
The department has code enforcement officers and a building inspector who regularly monitor building and commercial activity throughout the city.
The enforcement of the code is the responsibility of the Code Enforcement, Adjustments and Appeals Board.
