City of St. Augustine Attorney Isabelle Lopez spoke on Thursday, November 2, at the Florida Coastal Law Conference in Tampa. Ms. Lopez, who co-wrote “Sea level rise adaptation: Funding sources” with Abby Corbett and Jason Koslowe (Stearns Weaver Miller, P.A.), discussed innovative ways to use funding sources to construct infrastructure that will be more resilient to sea level rise. The presentation was delivered to attorneys and government officials.
Ms. Lopez has been City Attorney for the City of St. Augustine since her appointment in 2014, following her time as Assistant City Attorney, since 2011. Prior to her positions with the city she was a partner at two statewide law firms, and worked with the Florida Department of Transportation and St. Johns County. She is a graduate of McGill University and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida.
