Finishing touches were being made on the City’s new Financial Services Center before its opening on Monday, July 3.
No longer will hunting for a parking place and walking to City Hall’s fourth floor be a part of paying a water bill or parking ticket. Starting on Monday, July 3, those services and a lot more will be available at the City’s new Financial Services Center (FSC) located at 50 Bridge Street, between Granada and Cordova streets.
After extensive renovations to the site that was formerly the City of St. Augustine’s main fire station, the FSC is positioned to offer increased service to the City’s customers. The most outstanding feature will be the convenience offered by the new drive-up window and the free 30 minute parking spaces located just steps from the front door. A new a 24-hour drop box replacing the familiar feature outside City Hall will be located at the drive-up window.
The FSC features ample space for customer service representatives to meet one-on one with city customers and a community meeting room available for small meetings.
The Financial Services Center, including the new drive-up window, will be open Monday thru Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm excluding holidays.
For more information call 825-1037.
Tour the Financial Services Center
The heart of the FSC is customer service. Every day, representatives meet a steady stream of people paying parking tickets or utility bills, opening or closing residential and commercial accounts, taking tour guide exams or buying a pet’s license.
For most people, their only interaction with City Hall is through Customer Service, and that interaction has never been easier.
With 30-minute limit parking spaces just steps from the FSC’s entrance, there will always be a place to park short term. The customer service reception area has ample space for representatives to meet with customers quickly and efficiently.
Running in to pay a City bill will take no longer than running in a convenience store for a loaf of bread.
Drive-up windows. We use them at banks and fast-food restaurants and we do so because they’re convenient. Now that familiar convenience is available when you need to pay a parking ticket or utility bill.
The FSC’s drive-up window is on Granada St. Access to and exit from the window is on Granada St., and is open starting at 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
For many years, the 24 hour drop-box located on Granada St. has been a popular way to make payments. The drop box is still available, but it has been relocated to the FSC drive-up window. And of course, the drop box is available 24/7/365.
One feature of the FSC sure to be a favorite is the FSC Community Meeting Room. The room is available for clubs and community organizations to hold small board or membership meetings or have special programs and presentations.
The room has a capacity of approximately 30 people, convenient restroom facilities, and is easily accessible after hours.
