Artists of all ages and ability levels are invited to share their artist impression of St. Augustine in any medium by participating in Ancient City Mosaic presented by Michaels Stores®. This project will showcase the creative talent of our local and regional community.
The 450-piece exhibit, the number of pieces is representative of St. Augustine’s upcoming anniversary, will first be displayed throughout the St. Johns County community via the St. Johns County Public Library System and the St. Augustine Art Association from May 3 - June 1. The exhibit will then be brought together and featured as a grand 450-piece mosaic at a to be determined location from June 15 - August 10.
The cost to register is $10, which includes a 12 inch by 12 inch canvas. The first 100 registrants to pick up their canvas from Michaels Stores® will receive a $10 gift card redeemable at the store. Registration is available online at www.ancientcitymosaic.com. The deadline to submit artwork is April 15.
Those who would like to register but do not have online capabilities, internet access is available at all six St. Johns County Public Library System locations. Registration is also available at the following locations.

Once registered, artists must pick up their canvas at Michaels Stores® located at 310 Cobblestone Dr., St. Augustine. The receipt received through the registration process is required for canvas pickup. Completed canvases must be dropped off by April 15 at the 450th Commemoration Office, City of St. Augustine City Hall, 75 King St. Canvas drop off is between 8:30am and 10:30am or between 2:30pm and 4:30pm Monday - Friday.
