Planning and Building

The Planning and Building Department provides certified professional services for the enforcement of the city's codes relating to the development of land and the State of Florida regulations relating to the health, safety and welfare of residents and visitors of St. Augustine.

The department also provides staff support for the Planning and Zoning Board, Historic Architectural Review Board, Code Enforcement, Adjustments and Appeals Board. Agendas for all of these boards are available on line by clicking here.

All permits, including those for land development, the non-residential use of property building, remodeling, signs, and archeology may be obtained at the Planning and Building Department.
