The Historic Architectural Review Board

St. Augustine's Historic Architectural Review Board (HARB) meets the third Thursday of each month at 2:00pm in The Alcazar Room at City Hall.

Each of the five members of the board are appointed by the City Commission for a three year term and no member may serve more than two consecutive full terms.

HARB considers and acts on applications for Certificates of Appropriateness in Historic Preservation (HP) districts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, on building permits on property abutting HP-1, HP-2 and HP-3 and on applications for demolition permits for structures 50 years old or older within the city limits. HARB also advises property owners and government agencies concerning maintenance, protection, enhancement and preservation of historic resources and may designate historic landmarks.
